We only permit adult workers in the following areas.
01. //activity (adults)
AXIS has a lot to offer; basketball, ps2’s, ps3’s, x-box 360’s, billiard’s, ping pong tables, foosball and karoke. If you are a kid at heart, or enjoy building relatioinships with some of the greatest students in West Monroe/Monroe, this is the place to be.
02. //ushers (adults)
Imagine lots of teenagers sitting in a dark movie theater with no parents and that’s exactly what an AXIS service would be like without our Ushers. Every week our Usher department provides the structure and order needed to accommodate our students. If you love teenagers and aren’t scared of the dark, you will be a perfect fit as an AXIS Usher.
03. //traffic.safety (adults)
Have you ever been in a busy grocery store, and because of the twenty people in front of you making sure their eggs aren’t broken, you can’t get to your Captain Crunch? Well, our traffic department makes sure everyone is where they need to be. Traffic keeps things flowing in the right direction. If you love telling people where to go, or have always wanted to play with one of those Darth Vader flashlights, Safety/Traffic is the place for you to show your true talent.
04. //security (adults)
Do you think you’re tough? If you do, you just might have what it takes to be part of the few, the proud, the AXIS Security Team.
05. //room.monitors/captains// (adults)
The monitors serve in certain areas of the room to make sure nothing gets out of hand.
06. //ministry.team.leaders// (adults)
Anyone who is over a ministry at AXIS – ushers, counselors, greeters, etc.—must be an adult.
07. //hospitality (adults)
Each week we want some ladies to be in our Hospitality Department to prepare food fit for a king. This food will be prepared as a light breakfast for our students on Sunday mornings. If you know how to tuck pigs in blankets, make biscuits, bacon or eggs, this is for you.

Both
adults and teenagers may be involved in the following
ministries with the exception of greeter, which is
designated only for teenagers.

//greeters (Students
and adults)
Primarily for students. Our Greeters are the first
impression of AXIS. Smiles, handshakes and a love of fresh
breath are the first symptoms that you may already be a
Greeter, all you need to do is sign up!
09.
//discipleship (Adults)
We want hundreds of students to go through all levels in
the AXIS Discipleship Plan. It is a great chance to see our
students follow God as they continue the process of
becoming a level 4 disciple. Watching students grow and
mature is the greatest reward of serving as part of the
AXIS Discipleship Plan. The discipleship opportunities
consists of the new followers program, life groups, daily
devotions, and the missions and ministry process.

//follow-up (Students
and adults)
Are you good at writing encouraging cards, e-mails or
messages? What about writing thank you cards or making
phone calls? If so you’d be perfect for the follow-up team.
11.
//audio/video.teams (high
school students and adults)
Each week, AXIS reaches out with the most relevant,
cutting-edge services for Junior High and High School
students. If you are technically-minded and love things
that flash and beep, this is a good place for you.
12. //café.workers (students
and adults)
Let’s face it, young people love to eat! Our café’ does a
great job of meeting our students’ growing appetites. The
Café’ is a great place for food friendly adults and
students to get involved.
13. //camera
This
team works with high quality of video, sound and
audio/visual production for each AXIS event.
14.
//service (students
and adults)
If you have a heart for helping others through service and
would like to see others do the same this could be a great
place for you. The service ministry team exists to serve in
places like the Thrift Store and the Greenhouse. This team
also exists to help students get involved in serving.
15.
//lifegroup.fellowships (students
and adults)
This ministry team will consist of a fellowship leader from
each life group grade that will make up the life group
fellowship ministry team. This team will make sure that
their grade(s) are having quarterly fellowships outside of
the church building walls.

(This is a place where young people can register for camp,
mission trips, etc. They can also get information about
current activities.)
We are only as good as what we know. Each week we want our
information department to keep everything flowing smoothly
and everyone in the know. If you love talking to people and
sounding like you know it all, this could be Heaven on
Earth for you.
18.
//volunteer
The
volunteer ministry team works together to help recruit
volunteers for high priority needs at AXIS. This team also
helps get people involved in their ministry of interest by
moving them through the volunteer process.
19. //axis.leadership.training (adults)
AXIS Leadership Training is your personal training course
in everything at AXIS. This dinner not only helps us
organize all of our adult leaders, it also helps us
communicate between departments.
*Adult and Teenage workers must listen to the leadership
cd, fill out an application, and attend (only once) the
AXIS Leadership Training dinner which is offered monthly.
